Food insecurity is a significant and growing issue on college campuses, with nearly 2 out of 5 students nationwide—and almost 60% at HBCUs—struggling to access adequate food. To address this, the Food Security Pitch Competition invited students to develop innovative, technology-driven solutions to strengthen Mimi’s Pantry, a campus pantry serving Morehouse College, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University, and Morris Brown. Participants explored ways to enhance access to nutritious food, increase awareness, and improve the pantry’s overall impact within the campus community.
